St. Lucia Honeymoon

Well, since I posted about the wedding, I thought surely I should mention the honeymoon. The BEST trip. We went to the island of St. Lucia where we rented a villa up on a mountain in the northern part of the island. We had a private pool and a perfect view. You can check out my photos to see it! We had a housekeeper/cook, which was strange at first, but she took great care of us all week, providing suggestions on places to visit, good beaches, etc., which were not as easy to find as you might think!

We went hiking in the botanical gardens, visted Pigeon Island and swam on the beautiful beach, went into a volcano, shopped in the marketplace, ate great food, visited a cocoa plantation and lounged by the pool. The best thing we did though was book a day trip on a catamaran. We spent the day in the sun, swimming, sight-seeing, etc. It was definitely one of the best times I have ever had.

I highly recommend St. Lucia for a quiet, laid back trip. There are several resorts on the island, which would make a great place to stay if you are seeking a little more adventure, but for a nice, quiet, spend time together trip, it was a wonderful spot!
